In 2012 René Pérez moved to New York City and answered a classified ad in a local paper looking for a synthesizer player. He ended up playing synthesizer for Cascading Slopes for a year before returning to his native California. Now, inspired by Japanese and British synthesizer pioneers, Pérez is making his own brand of delicate and playful synthesizer pop music as Relic Pop.
